Blessings, Mainly Schoolings - The Nasty Poet, 2020

I got my first book illustration opportunity, which was an honour my talented friend The Nasty Poet blessed me with. When trusted to bring images to someone else’s precious words, it was just the chance i needed to push myself out of my comfort zone and dig from a different perspective with simplicity and sensitivity. I was so unconfident in my line drawings before this, i didn't realise how much of my pride in my work is connected to colour but i proved myself wrong, and I'm extremely proud of the outcome.
