Hand embroidery on calico, 12.5cm x 12.5cm

I made this artwork shortly before a deadline at Birmingham City Art School. I had no idea what to make so i doodled some objects I saw around me and began sewing. Little did I know that this would be the beginning of my whole artistic practice. I was trying to figure out what femininity meant to me, while connecting to everyday objects which are included in much of my work.
