Trans Day of Remembrance, 2022

I got the opportunity to fundraise with Print Social and this is the design I came up with for Trans Day of Remembrance. Proceeds were split between Black Trans Alliance, and SASOD Guyana.

Trans Day of Remembrance is a day for remembering our Trans siblings who have been taken from this world by Transphobic violence and murder. A day which shouldnt have to exist because Trans people should be able to live freely, live their truth, love and express themselves, experiencing joy and safety. Trans and gender non conforming people have existed for thousands of years, and colonial, fascist, imperialist powers have tried to erase us from the world. Now so called feminists join right wingers and small minded people who cant see the vastness of gender and how harmful rigid gender roles/expression are. The targeting of Trans people is the same as how Gay people were targeted and this hateful, bigoted rhetoric is common. No one should be at risk of violence for being who they are and loving who they love!
